Rock and pop covers with enough bite to make the room wake up.
Top 40 rock & pop cover band
Live hits, loud guitars and a dance floor that does not get a polite little warm-up. Spire is a Johannesburg cover band built for weddings, corporate gigs, school events, pubs and private parties.

A proper live-band show: guitar, vocals, crowd work, lights, sound and songs people already know.

On stage

Rock and pop covers with enough bite to make the room wake up.

The kind of familiar songs that get people singing before they realise they know every word.

Start polished, end loud. That is usually the correct direction.
From Python to Spire
Spire originally formed in 1998 under the name Python. After regrouping, the band became Spire and has played corporate events, sports bars, clubs and parties across South Africa since 2000.

What we play
Think dance-floor favourites, pub anthems, wedding crowd-pleasers and big chorus songs. The exact set changes for the event, but the aim stays the same: people on their feet.
