1. Booking confirmation
A date is only confirmed once Spire Band accepts the booking in writing and the agreed deposit or confirmation payment has cleared. Enquiries, quotes and availability checks do not reserve a date.
Event terms
These terms apply to Spire Band live performances, sound hire and event entertainment bookings unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

These pages explain Spire bookings, privacy and website use in plain language.
Last updated
A date is only confirmed once Spire Band accepts the booking in writing and the agreed deposit or confirmation payment has cleared. Enquiries, quotes and availability checks do not reserve a date.
Quotes are based on the event date, venue, location, performance length, sound requirements and setup needs. Prices may change if the brief changes, if extra equipment is required, or if the venue is outside the quoted travel area.
The deposit secures the booking and may be non-refundable once suppliers, musicians, travel or equipment have been allocated. The balance is payable by the date stated on the invoice or written booking confirmation.
If the client cancels or postpones an event, Spire Band may retain the deposit and recover reasonable costs already incurred. If a new date is available, the booking may be moved by written agreement, subject to any extra travel, supplier or equipment costs.
The client must make sure the venue provides safe access, parking/loading space, electricity, weather cover for outdoor events, and enough setup and sound-check time. Delays caused by venue access or event scheduling may reduce performance time.
Where Spire provides sound or lighting, the setup will be matched to the agreed brief and reasonable venue size. The client must disclose venue restrictions, noise limits, load-shedding risks, generator requirements and cut-off times before the event.
Outdoor performances require covered, level and safe stage space. Instruments, electrical equipment and sound gear may not be exposed to rain, direct water, unsafe wind, unstable flooring or unsafe power.
Spire may adjust set order, song choices, breaks, volume and technical setup to suit the room, audience, safety requirements and venue rules. Special song requests must be discussed in advance and may not always be possible.
The client is responsible for venue permissions, licences where required, crowd control, safe working conditions, meal or refreshment arrangements if agreed, and any venue charges not included in the quote.
Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, unsafe conditions, power failure, illness, accidents, strikes, government restrictions or venue closure. The parties will work in good faith to find a practical solution.
Spire may use general event photos or short performance clips for portfolio and social media purposes unless the client asks in writing before the event that the event remain private. Spire will avoid publishing sensitive private information.
Spire will take reasonable care in delivering the service. To the extent allowed by South African law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant booking, and Spire is not responsible for indirect losses, venue failures or third-party conduct.
